Celebration of Research

A big thank you to all who were able to attend our 2025 Celebration of Research despite last minute revisions due to severe weather.

Project Host Testimonial
“What have I experienced with U-Links researchers? Giant smiles, over the top enthusiasm, and incredible knowledge – even when ankle deep in mud, hanging over the side of a boat gathering water samples or elbow deep in plants, scooping up pollinator insects. U-Links research projects have added valuable depth to Haliburton County Master Gardener projects and inform the Halls & Hawk Lakes Property Owners Association with excellent water quality monitoring programs. With high quality research reports and a library of relevant and useful past project material, U-Links is a community resource that I value very highly and greatly appreciate. Thank you for what you do both for our region and for students!"

2021 U-LINKS VIRTUAL CELEBRATION OF RESEARCH

This year U-Links held our very first annual Celebration of Research! Over 100 community members, faculty and students                    attended. Check out a recording of the main session below.

2020 CELEBRATION OF RESEARCH

Due to government protocols regarding gatherings and for the safety of all of our community participants, the U-Links Team made the decision to cancel this year's Celebration of Research event that was to be held on Saturday, March 28th.

For organizations hosting research projects, students’ deliverables remain the same. Students are working on their final reports from home and have completed their posters which would have been shown at the Celebration of Research.

Although we can’t gather as a community, we do want to celebrate the results of research projects undertaken by students and community members. Watch this space for information on online access to media celebrating all the hard work our students have done this academic year.
